Chinese Television Series "For You…" (为了你我愿意热爱整个世界) will be filming in New York in the month of August (tentatively 8/10 -8/14, 2017); the production is currently seeking Non-Union, New York local actors to fill supporting and co-star roles. Audition will take place on July 16th, 2017.

 

中國電視劇《為了你我願意熱愛整個世界》將於八月中在紐約拍攝。 目前正在尋找会说流利普通话的華人男性和女性角色,以及會說廣東話或普通话的華人老年人。於7月16日舉行試鏡。沒有演戲經驗沒有關係。

 

Synopsis: “For You…” takes place in early 2000s New York, following two main characters Dong and Shan, two entrepreneurs who left China to chase their American dream in the city. In the midst of their struggle of hopes and dreams, the two also faces challenges in their love life and eventually made it in the foreign land.

 

1999年，毕业不久的张长弓因机缘巧合到IT企业任职，凭借自身能力一步步实现自己的IT梦想，与优秀女大学生李木子的爱情也渐渐萌芽。然而，一切美好却因为2000年初期互联网行业泡沫一朝破碎，一夕之间长弓从行业新贵坠落为落寞才子。 但他并不气馁，依托互联网运用自身才华东山再起，与木子的情感也因两人的忠诚坚守而经受住重重考验。 与此同时，好兄弟韩东和魏小山也各自为理想奋斗，在“出国潮”、“网购风”中寻找发展之路，逐步踏上人生正轨。

Character 角色:

 

[Waitress / 打工妹] Asian Female, age 20s. A good natured, native young girl who works at the store with the lead character. Thin and frail looking, a ‘poor younger sister that you want to take care of’ type. Need to be able to read and speak fluent Mandarin Chinese. 華人女孩, 看上去大概20歲左右,很單純. 身材瘦小, 有點依賴大哥哥的樣子. 會說很流利的中文. Supporting. $210/day. She speaks Mandarin with China-regional accent (which specific region, is up to you to decide) 她的中文有中國地區口音。*For the character of the “Waitress” talent should anticipate a 12 hr. shoot day, as the character involves in multiple scenes with the leading character. *對於“打工妹” 角色預料12小時的拍攝日，角色與主角參與多個場景。

 

 

[XiaoShan /小杉] Asian Male, age 20s. Witty, charming, and stylish. He is an American born Chinese boy who has the tendency to toggle between English and Chinese when speaking to his buddy. 聰明,時髦,又活潑. 看上去大概20歲左右, 在美國出生的陽光男孩. 英語,中文都說得很流利. 1 scene. Co-Star. $150/day. The script is in Mandarin Chinese, but the director may ask the talent to speak “Chinglish” so fluency in both languages is required.

 

[Undercover / 便衣警察] Asian Male, age 30-40. A regular looking, glass-wearing man who has a hidden agenda. Talent must be able to speak Mandarin Chinese. 他是一個中年人,帶著一副眼鏡看起來文质彬彬，但伪善的他其实另有目的. 這個角色要說流利的中文. 1 scene. Co-Star. $150/day.

 

[Chinese Old Man /老先生] Asian male, age 50-90. A wise old man who has been through a tough life. Understanding and patient. Must be able to speak fluent Mandarin Chinese. 友善的老先生說得一口流利的中文. 年齡大概60以上左右. 看得出他對這個人生經歷了很多的風風雨雨.心地善良. 1 scene. Co-Star. $150/day.

 

[Cantonese Old Man /下棋老伯伯] Asian Male, age 60+. Grumpy old man playing chess with his buddy in Chinatown. Must be able to speak Cantonese, or Cantonese accented Chinese. 說著一口中文, 或者是廣東國語. 年齡大概60以上左右平常沒事就跟著他的朋友在一下棋. 對不認識的人不友善. 1 scene. Co-Star. $150/day. While prefer talent to speak Chinese with Cantonese accent; any other regional accented Chinese is welcomed. 任何其他區域口音的中文, 也沒關係

 

[Delivery Man] Hispanic Male, age 25-40. A delivery man doing his job: Delivery. 1 scene. Co-Star. $150/day.

 

[Cashier] Caucasian Male, age 18-25. A young man who works at the convenient store, refuses to sell cigarettes to the lead character without proper identification. 1 scene. Co-Star. $150/day.

[Professor] Caucasian Male, age 40-60. Salt and pepper hair; a stern professor who informs the lead character that h has been expelled. 1 scene. Co-Star. $150/day.

[Car Dealer] Caucasian Male, age 38-48. A car deal who’s happy to drive the lead character’s car away. No Lines, Must have valid driver’s license as the character does require to drive in the scene. Improv experience a plus. 1 scene. Co-Star. $150/day

**Other Co-Star roles should wrap within 10 hour shoot schedule.
